established in 2001 and started
producing audio- visual works. The conclusion of four years fine experience lead
to production of 70 albums until janury 2008.at present filing of the works are
classified as follows:
1-
production of
a series of album productions on audio research” Iranian
music collection”.(no 26)
This collection is assigned
to reproduction of recorded works on records. These
records are historical documentary with
unique benefits and related to around
half a century from 1904 to 1962. Efforts for keeping and maintenance of these
collections are a national and cultural
duty. However the route starting from industrial production and releasing these
records from recording up to mass production and distribution needs to be proved
by reliable documents to show the records
are trustworthy. Records are main audio sources for linguistic studies and
different languages, gaining knowledge on Iranian old music, surveying in
folklore and peoples culture, history of act and play, scientific writing of
contemporary history and biography and diary of artists & even counts as a
special source on surveying in political
history.

works
Selection of subjects
usually is based on name of artists; sometimes historical periods of
recording, style or the name of music
generation determine the name of
the subjects.

Presenting
discography (song details) in the album guide.
one of the highlight points
of this survey is, presenting discography of interested
works under title of methodology for
complete investigation of Iran music history including biography evolution, date
of recording, techniques on performing
of music , etc. it help us to have a wider view toward the historical and
geographical condition when recording was done and chanalize the basis for
composing these works.
“Discography: means documentation of
published audio works in the form of record or CD from an artist, band,
orchestra, archive or producing company in the shape of organized report and
containing the maximum possible data from different sequences of recording,
production and distribution of work.
Within years 1895 to 1960
which was the period of technological life of 78 RPM records and called as an
industrial spreading audio works, These records are the base of discographic
science.
The base of order and
classification of works in discography of 78 RPM records is a unique code called
MATRIX NUMBER which is carved on the records by all producer companies and was
the sign of recording sequences in studio.
the recording sheets that
is done by sound engineers, contains important data, like title on briefing the
work, the major artist, secondary role artists, date, place of record, name of
sound recorder , etc. if in
technical review, the recorded work has an acceptable quality , parallel to
technical process of production, selection of works for mass production and
publishing on catalogue are
investigated. With common use of gramophone and records, especially after 1922,
marketing views like popularity of artist or the work, had a major role in
getting priority or precedence of a work in companies catalogue. This place is
indicated with catalogue number and use of previous data and the necessary
information for printing on records labels
would be completed. Labeling identification means organized historical and
commercial recognition of the records which is an entrance to the subject of
discography. It gives a primary picture
of the active companies in the field of Persian records and also different
records of any of companies, physical and graphical characteristics, labels and
details.
3-extraction of lyrics and words text
Since technology of
recording sound was poor on those days and the dialect was different from today,
extraction of lyrics enables researcher to get most of benefit from sources. For
instance: Reza Gholi khan norouzi’s album which is recorded during

Refinement by today
technology cleans the parasite of recording and along side changes the theme and
a major part of high pitch sound fades away. It is because the theme of the
voice has direct dependency to the intensity of harmonic frequencyof the base of
the voice and deleting certain limit of audio frequency changes this
composition. In this survey refinement means adjustment and equalizing the
intensity of the sound.( volume). Adjustment of low and high and deleting the
extra parasite is done specially at start and end of recording.
5-musical
and mechanical rotation
Most of works published so
far have problems because of a non adjusted rotation. The reason could be looked
at transportation of sound recording device or reel non adjustment of the
gramophone rotation. This deficiency is recovered with use of mechanical devices
for tuning of gramophone rotation at 33, 45, 78 and the ear sensibility of
professionals.
5-
Regular and
serial presentation of the recording which are recorded from one device and by
one person.
One of the bases of
subjective classification is the name of artists which is the selection of
recorded works of every person. In such cases the style of classification and
index of every work is based on musical style. Sometimes it is possible to set
the solo works of a music player in an album separately. In some other cases,
the recorded works of an artist are set on basis of time and musical style of
recording. The recorded works of Taherzadeh during a trip to
Pahlavi ) which are
mentioned on some of them with a number( 1).
